Resilience

I had a lot of fun working on this one from going out to the forest to see the trilliums begin to bloom to being back to working in color.  It's been a long, hard winter this year so signs of spring arriving are very welcome.

Book signing

The Columbia City Library is hosting a book signing of local writers, Saturday, March 17, 1pm - 3pm.  Refreshments provided.  Come talk Timberline!

Just an Old Fashioned Love Song

From line drawing rough draft to the colored pencil drawing (some call them paintings in their finished state).  This is a railing in a stairwell at Timberline Lodge that caught my attention.  The final piece was drawn on 9" x 12" Stratmore Artagain coal black paper using Caran D'Ache Luminance colored pencils.  It was a LOT of fun to work on.  Click on it to view it in a larger format.
