This is a portrait of a Black and Tan rabbit. The actual name of the breed is Tan, the color is black. They've been shown in the UK since the late 1800's and can be found in small numbers all over the world. They are a fun, small and engaging rabbit.
About the piece: Just as cavemen did thousands of years ago, this exquisite drawing was created using lightfast pigments on slate (the rock). It's the perfect archival quality material and the presentation is unique. The pigment is colored pencil on slate using colors with the highest lightfast ratings available - ASTM D6901 (scientific testing). The image is sealed with a spray fixative for additional protection. Approximate size is 6" x 8".
