I am often asked if rabbits actually look like this.  They do!  This is a Tan, a rabbit originating in England in the late 1800's.  It is a small rabbit, maturing to on average four pounds as an adult.  Most often seen at shows are the black Tans (referred to as black and tan in the UK).  The other varieties (colors) in the breed are chocolate, blue and lilac.  All share the same striking markings and color contrast.
