Inside Fred Meyers
It's cold and the weather has proven to be somewhat unpredictable lately so we chose to sketch in a supermarket. It actually proved to be quiet interesting. Normally we are in such a hurry to grab this and that shopping that we don't have the time to look at all the detail and the people coming and going. We went a little over our allotted two hours we had set for ourselves but there was just so much to work on. It was great. We decided we have to return again sometime.

It was the last acrylic painting I painted before transitioning over to colored pencil. I had switched to acrylics because of the chemicals required with oils and small kids at the time but now there are options so I just might again...It's still one of my all time favorites and almost, not quite, makes me want to take up oil painting again especially since there's water soluble oils now.

New postcard: St Helens Chamber of Commerce
I explored the use of a new vendor for printing for a new postcard. It turned out well, reduces printing costs but will require a lot more up front time in the planning process to use them. It’s a delicate process finding just the right balance that works. These will be posted available soon.
